Default 2005 Blazer questions.

Looks like a 2005 Blazer is going to be my first vehicle, it's one of my parent's old cars. She wrecked it and it's basically sat at a storage building since. I would've probably gotten it quite a while ago, but due to some injuries and my state's rules on receiving attendance forms and medical releases kept me from being able to get my license. Anyways, I'm getting off topic.

Now, when it was wrecked no real damage was done, the door was dented and scratched up pretty bad, along with (and excuse me if I'm saying this wrong) front and rear driverside quarter panels. The front barely got touched, just a 3in in diameter dent where it meets the door. The rear wasn't so lucky, it was hit pretty hard, dented so bad in some places that the paint literally flaked off. I believe the body is steel, which means it'll most likely rust.

So, looks like I'm going to have to replace all of these parts. I haven't done too much work on cars, but I'm definitely mechanically capable.

My real question is, what is it gonna' run to get all three of these parts? And is it possible to get them in the color I need (white) without having to have them painted? If I have to get them painted, how much will it cost me?

Thank you for your time, I appreciate it a ton!

New sheet metal parts do not come painted. Call a body shop for prices. If you're looking for white, call a junkyard, they can tell you how much.

See if you can throw some pic's on a host like photo bucket or something. There are all kinds of diffrent ways to go on somthing like this depending on how close to new you want it. Your lucky it's white, less chance of slight color changes. This sould make getting used painted parts less troublesome. Theres one guy on ebay that has a load of body parts from S10's and blazers. I think his handle has S10 in it not blazer. I will take a look around in the morning. I would like to find him again myself, will let you know.

Either way your going to need to paint that rear quarter and most likely some body filler and welding or you get body glue it on. The problem is it is going to be a big job, the fenders and doors are miner. in some cases you are better to take the truck to a body place and just ask them how much to replace the back quarter. or you get a dent puller and start pulling!
