Default 4.3 problems

Recently put new spark plugs and wires in and the truck ran fine for a couple of weeks. But than it started to bog down again and never wants to get up and go, I put a new air filter in it and it didn't really help. In the morning it never seems to want to start and it takes a couple of minuets. i put fuel injector cleaner to see if that helped and it kinda got worse. i think its the spider injectors or something?? Any suggestions anyone?

Start with a fuel pressure and leakdown test. The link explains it. You can loan a tool from autozone.

It could easily be the problem or part of it. For peace of mind, I would change the filter if it has never been done. Then do the fuel pressure test. It may be the filter is bad, fuel pressure reg leaking, injectors leaking or pump is going out.
Did you replace the cap and rotor? Does it start hard in damp conditions?

Ok will do. and no i haven't replaced it. Also its the worst in damp conditions and sometimes when it starts it seems to idle high and you have to turn it off and restart it. After that its fine. once in a while it will stall out after we just get it out of the driveway, but after we start it, it is not high.

Sounds like you need to replace the cap and rotor.
