Default 4.3 vs 5.7

so i have a 1998 blazer 4x4 and right now im just looking for a little bit of input as far as what i should do.

right now im stuck between building up the 4.3 thats in there now with a bigger cam and completely rebuild the bottom end or getting a 5.7 conversion and just dropping one of those bad boys in there with a shift kit in the tranny.

im sure someone on here has done one or the other so any advice/opinions on either would be greatly appreciated. also if you could please let me know what i should do as far as bore, re-surfacing the heads for a higher comp. ratio, brand/specs on the cams, pistons, crank etc.

Thanks in advance =]

Personally I think blazers with the 350, are beasts. My buddy has an old s10 with an ls1 in it and you feel like it's going to take off like a plane cause it's so strong. It's just a lot of power for a small vehicle, but thats what we all want !
