Default 4 door Blazer ZR2

I was talking too a neighbor a few houses down and he was asking if they made 4 door Blazer ZR2s... I told him no, not factory direct... I started thinking, did I accidently lie too him or did they make them in 4 door??? I say no but I am hoping you guys will correct me if I am wrong...

According to my 1999 ordering guide, they only made the ZR2 in 2 doors. However, as we've seen here, you could build one if you found the right parts.

I've always heard they only came in 2 doors. Never ever heard of a 4 door before.

Now, there's a Z71 four door running around my town...

(my buddy at work had some factory z71 decals, and stuck them on my truck one day while I was working late. The colors matched, and he did such a good job applying them, I didn't have the heart to scrape them off. It's fooled a few people at inspection houses and alignment shops lol)

LOL why? If you're gonna go through all that work, cutting and welding, why not do a SAS? The ZR2 was basically the same suspension, the frames were a little different, I believe, to give it some lift. And maybe a wider stance. Still the same ifs, though

I have no idea why, but it was done... I beleave that the leaf springs, and front end was different. I remember he had to relocate the control arm mounting locations. But it was right here on BF that I found it... great work. Looked like a 4 door with a 2.5 RC lift.

alot more work then anything else... but looks good in the end.

I mean, still seems like it was more work than it was worth, but if you got the trucks sitting around, and have a welder you're itching to use, why not? Lol

I feel better as of now, lol! So far there were no 4 door Blazer ZR2's that I can tell. Not factory direct anyway... Thanks too all of you who responded over this! He bet me they made them, good for me My reward will either be a free adult beverage"s" or something on the grill at his house lol!

My brother is in the process of frame swapping a ZR2 pickup frame under his Crew Cab S10, but the main reason he's doing that is because he had a ZR2 frame available for free and he needed to replace the engine on his Crew Cab anyways. It was just as easy for him to build the new V8 on the ZR2 frame, and then swap his CC body over. As a swap for the average person it doesn't make much sense because it's a lot of effort and expense to acquire and prep the frame for ultimately only 2" of lift and a slightly wider stance.
