Unhappy 4 wheel drive issues, 2000 chevy blzr

I have a 2000 Chevy Blzr. A few months back, a wooing sound started coming from the front passenger tire. I did a complete brake overhaul, to include new rotors, calipers and caliper bracket. The sound is still there but not as loud.

Last night it snowed, I engaged the 4 wheel drive (push button) and it just kept on blinking. The rear engaged but the front did not. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this or why it is doing this?

"Thanks" a bunch for reading

The wooing sound could be a bad wheel bearing.

As for the blinking 4WD light, it could be a frozen actuator cable, or split vacuum diaphragm. There are plenty of threads on it here, but the (very) short version is that there is a cable that runs form the front diff to a vacuum diaphragm under the battery tray. If the casing on the cable is compromised and rust builds up your truck won't engage 4WD and your light will sit there and blink. If the diaphragm splits, then the cable won't move, frozen or not.

Pop on over to google and run this search: site:blazerforum.com 4wd won't engage and site:blazerforum.com front wheel noise and that should give you a good start.
