4wd-ABS-service 4wd light.info need please
Alright sorry if im beating down an old path here, just got a 2000 blazer with 185xxx..runs great my mother has owned it the last 10 years..soft easy miles, has not been "offroad" the whole time she owned it.several years backi went tried to put it in 4wd and it would not go in 4h or 4l,do not know why, maybe an actuator?Me and gramps change the front brakes and the wires that come with them about a month ago, when driving and hit the brakes it would like it was skipping/sliding in the front, right after we changed them the Abs light came on and it occasionally still does the skipping.i have no idea on that one.last the service 4wd light came on a week ago,any thoughts and opinions would be appreciated,thanks-mike

Ok so vacummhose was not hooked up,4wd works now but have to cut the vehicle off and back on to get it in 2wd..still have abs light on,maybe shocks gonna replace them
get the codes read, shocks have nothing to do with abs.
Firstly you need to get the codes and also have you looked at the pads and ABS speed sensors?
Concerning the AWD, have to checked the TCCM? |
Pads, hub and sensors were replaced a month ago..evry now and then i still get the stiff kicking back pedal when braking
Tccm is fairly new cause we thought was the problem
4 wheel disc? if so did you change the sensors in the rear as well? might also be the ABS control module
Drums in the rear..i took both wheels off this weekend took the whole brake assembly apart and reinstalled, still abs light
Going whdn i get off in the a.m to bave the codes checked
Possibly need to replace the wheel bearings? I have a 2000 blazer and my wheel bearings need to be replaced. The abs light has been on since I bought the thing two years ago, a friend of mine read the codes and said the abs light was on because of my wheel bearings. So try that?
