4wd actuator problem
Does the actuator disengage or does the transfer case disengage? If it is the actuator you have a vacuum leak somewhere, if the transfer case is disengaging, you have far bigger problems.
To check to see if the transfer case is staying engaged, press the 4hi button, and crawl under the drivers side and grab the front drive shaft, if it turns after you've pressed the 4hi button, you have a problem, but if it won't turn then your t-case is engaging, meaning your problem lies between the t-case and the axle.

That doesn't answer the question
Does the Case disengage or the actuator? The case is shifted by the encoder motor which is electric, not vacuum. The vacuum locks the front axle in. If you have the vacuum leak, pictures may help us determine where the leak is and how to help you fix it
