Default 4wd lo stick and blink while driving

Hello, I have a problem with my 01 Blazer's 4wd. Before that I'll fill you in on me. I ski 60-70 days out of the year and rely on my 4x4 almost every day in the winter to get to and from the mountain(45mins there 45 mins back). It all started last year (don't remember exact date.) some time in the summer. I started her up, put it in drive, then my push button 4lo started flashing...so I would press 2hi and it would flash then stay in 4lo. After a few maneuvers I figured I could get it back in 2 by putting it from park to reverse to neutral and pressing 2hi it would go back into 2hi, but unless I quickly put it in drive after that it would flash and go on 4lo again. Then the strange part... while I was driving after this I noticed 4lo would flash but never click in then stop when I pushed 2hi again, and repeat...and then go away after maybe like 6 times of trying to go back into 4lo. A year later (this past month) it has started occurring again every now and then, but now when this happens my check 4x4 light will also turn on. I have read it could have something to do with lines? tccm? or motor box on tranny? ( I know nothing about auto mechanics) In conclusion I basically NEED this fixed for ski season... any info on how much it is for this to be fixed?

without looking it could be hard to say on amount.
there is a 4x diagnostics post in the dyi section. that may help you narrow it down. i saw that your not mech inclined but it is worth a shot.
