4wd not working after being hit
Hey guys, I was wondering if an accident my vehicle was in could be the culprit to why my 4wd isnt working. A few weeks ago my vehicle was parked in a parking lot when it was rear ended by a newer tahoe (4wd was engaged at the time due to a recent snow storm but the parking lot was fairly well maintained). Anyway the tahoe had hit the back of my blazer pushing it about 5 feet on the concrete and up and over a good sized curb. When i backed up I noticed a clunk coming from the front of the truck and didnt think much of it at the time. I took it out of 4wd and have been driving it normally but have had no use for 4wd recently since the weather has been nicer out so I have not noticed it until now. I can hear it engage at the transfer case and the actuator under the battery is working fine (I have ruled out it as being the vaccum switch also since I just replaced it this year) but it acts like the axel wont engage in the front dif. Could something have broken when the blazer was hit in park with 4wd still engaged?? For what its worth it is a 1998 ZR2
Thanks for any help! I'm just trying to figure out what I need to do insurance wise.
