Default 4x4 not working after transfer case swap

Hey all, I just switched out my transfer case, with a used one and now my 97 2 dr blazer with 3 button electronic 4x4 shift wont go into 4wd. I hear the motor moving or doing something on the t-case but 4x4 doesnt kickin, when in park and i click 4hi the driveshaft is locked, it only moves a half inch or so. Also I felt the part under the battery that has something to do with the 4x4 and I thought it was suppose to move when you switched to 4wd but I couldnt feel it move when I put my hand under the battery??? Any ideas? Bad tcase? Is there anything I could take off my old tcase that I could try on the new one?

Patience man, patience! Sheesh. Instead of a single word bump, why not state what you have done (searched/read/tried/etc) in the meantime... Shows initiative.

Have you searched? Looked through the Tech Article (DIY) section (or the index which details all of the tech articles)? The '4wd no-worky' thread in there will be informative.

I have read that thread three times, I looked at the vacuum actuator but I dont know what to look for it seems fine... Whats on the transfer case that would be bad on the new one that would prvent it from working, the transfer case switch? Cause it stopped right after the swap! Thanks you guys

Are you getting vacuum to the actuator under the battery when in 4HI or 4LO? A vacuum actuator needs vacuum to operate. If it is not getting proper vacuum, then it could be the switch on the t-case or it could be the vacuum lines from the engine to the switch or from the switch to the vacuum actuator.

The diaghram under the battery: is there any visible tears in the Rubber?

With the battery out of the way, you should see the diaghram pull the cable in if it is working properly.
