4x4 selector switch

Default 4x4 selector switch
In the newer then 98 Blazers there is the 4x4 switch with the auto 4x4 button as well as the 2 hi, 4 hi, and 4 low. Could you put one of those switches in a 98 and would it work like in the newer ones? Or would you have to switch out other parts with it?

Not interchangeable. The TCCM and the transfer case are different, along with the wire harness.
