4x4 still not working! !!!
OK guys so I've had some time to look into the 4X4 system on this 01 blazer and I have found a few things.......
I have power at the 4wd switch and at the TCCM.
1. I ATC fuse WAS blown, replaced it.
1a. Courtesy light fuse was good .
2. Electrical connector for the Encoder motor on TC was rubbing on the front driveshaft and it had cut through the red wire and brown wire on the connector. Not being able to replace the Encoder right away I cut the connectors off and hardwired them together with butter connectors.
3. When I cycle the key now I get all the lights on the selector switch to flash for a second but that's all there does, no indicator lights STILL.
I did find that on the smaller connector at TCCM I see TWO black wires and by probing the power wire with my test light I only had a good connection on ONE of black wires. Does this damn thing REALLY have TWO ground connections? ??!!! PLZ HELP!!
5. I'M wondering if the Encoder motor is burned out will it cause no indication lights on the switch because it's not communicating? ?

I can tell you that if you have the 4-button controls, there are two separate connectors for the encoder motor.
If it was me, I would fix up the wiring securely and put a Cardone TCCM in it.
I would price match on the Internet and then order from Summit Racing - you will be amazed how much cheaper. Plug it in. If it doesn't fix the problem, then put a little dielectric grease back on the connectors and return the part. Summit has very liberal return policies in my experience. Would end up costing you return shipping if you do that, but I'm betting it will be fixed.

Yes, but the vacuum actuator is just for front axle engagement. The OP has issues with no lights on in the switches after initial flashing and he found wiring by encoder motor rubbed through on the driveshaft and ATC fuse blown.
