Default 4X4 Vacuum lines

I have a 2000 LT 4x4 4.3 Blazer and I notice yesterday that a vacuum line was missing from the top outlet of the solnoid (SP) mounted on the firewall of my Blazer. This is the part that converts to making the SUV go into 4x4 ride. I had replace the part about a year ago and hook up everything and it work just fine, went into all 4x4 ranges.

I have had electrical problems with the Blazer as of late and put it in the shop (The problems were never fix by the way). I took out the battery and battery box to see if there was a vacuum hose under there and there was not (Then I lost the clip for one side of the battery box and a 1/2 socket is down there somewhere).

For now I have plug the vacuum line off and of course no 4x4 now. Can anyone tell me where the vacuum hoses goes from the part on the firewall? The bottom one is still on there and it goes to a vacuum hose going the drivers side and is still hook up, but the top vacuum hose goes where?

I am losing my ability to work on cars as I age. Was under the SUV yesterday and every time I got on my back to look for any hoses hanging down etc, I would feel very sick and had to come out from under neath the vechile, I am good for about 5 minutes then I have get out from it or I like I'm going to throw up. Need to see the doc on this..really strange.

Any help please!

There should be a vacuum line going from the solenoid to the actuator under the battery tray. If your 4wd worked before, that line would have been there.

Had to chuckle on the socket...i have done that more than once. Think it ends up landing in betwee some frame tubes or something. Had to pull out the grille to get at it.

I pull out the battery and tray (Also lost the bolt clip down the deep narrows of the body), Could not find any where a vacuum hose or where one should go. There is a cable running to what one might call a solenoid or actuator but no vacuum hose. There are two of those those actuators, one right under the battery tray and the other on the inside of the finder beside (Almost at battery level) but, it appears to be electic driven (Plug in it). I felt all around both of them for a outlet and no luck. Is there any vacuum running down to the transfer case?

Thanks, but I found it. It was laying down behind the dist. It had broken off from the solenoid on the fire wall. The vacuum line had rotten and broken off. What a pain in the butt. But thanks to all that help me out.
