95 4x4 issue
i searched the threads and did not come across one that fit my problem i have a 95 4 door 4x4 and we just got our first good snow here so i decided to lock it in for the slick roads and when i tried the 4hi and 4lo lights just flash at me you can here the transfer case trying to switch over i can get it in 4 lo after a few trys but not 4 hi then when i go to put it back in 2hi from 4lo no sound or nothing but the 4 lo light dose turn off i did wash it the other day to get the salt off it was thinking something may have gotton froze up but not sure also disconected the ABS not sure if that would affect it or not just unpluged the wiers in the driver and passenger side wheels i replaced the acctuator under the battery 2 mounths ago and everything was working great tell now any info would help out a lot they dont clean the roads up here very well so the 4x4 would make life a lot better

Do this weird exercise and let me know. Unhook the neg. batt cable, pull the batt. bolt out of it, then pull the pos batt. cable, reach across and hold both firmly together for 30 -45 seconds making absolute sure they touch(bolt head to other batt. cable-now missing bolt) put bolt back in, re-hook pos. the neg. try it-let us know. Here is one of particular interest - transfer case / encoder motor switch as it has a link to the NV233 troubleshooting guide from RSGear.com which is what is in your truck (even though the OP in that thread states up to 94, the much of the information extends much further). You also may want to check out the thread in the DIY section - OBD2 Non-Automatic Transfer Case Diagnostic which will run through the checking of the codes stored in the TCCM if there are any stored.
