95 Blazer chugging
Hey guys, I have a 95 Blazer 4x4 4.3 Auto. When i start it it acts like its running on 5, (like a sputtering sound) Then while driving it, it chugs going down the road. It doesnt seem to do it at speeds above 60. When I come to a stop, it wants to stall. The wierd thing is, some days it runs fine. I have changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter. I scanned it, and it showed that it needs a cam sensor. The previous owner cut out the cat convertor, so of course the scanner shows an o2 sensor problem. Would the cam sensor make it run so terrible? Where exactly IS the cam sensor? I dont know if this could be related, but in the last couple days, the brakes seemrock hard, like the vaccuum booster isnt working. How do i tell? The line going to the back of the intake is on.

RE: 95 Blazer chugging
sounds like the egr. Mine did the same thing and I pulled the egr and it would barely move. I smacked it a couple times on the concrete and freed it up. I've been runnin for about a year now since I did that, now I think it's time to replace it.

WOW!!! Its finally running soooo smooth! The egr and fuel pressure regulator? (the black plastic round thing in the center of the intake plenum) I cleaned them both and it runs so nice now. Thanks SockJock. Huge help.
