Default 95 Blazer Coolant Issues (Antifreeze in Oil)

Hi Guys, I have a 1995 4 door S10 Blazer 4x4 with the 4.3L Vortec "W" Engine with 117,000 miles. I just replaced the spider and nut kit, put it all back together and decided to drop the oil because I smelt gas on the dipstick. Also the dipstick was showing twice as high as normal. I dropped the oil but to my suprise I got about 1-1/2 gallons of antifreeze then the oil and gas mixture. I have no idea of where it is comming from. Any Ideas????? I was thinking lower intake gasket but thats just a guess. Also there is nothing in the reserve tank. Any one got any tips on replacing the lower intake gasket if that is my problem (my Haynes manual doesnt seem to detailed.

Thanks Scott

spend the few extra bucks and get the dealer gaskets, we find that although fel-pro and the others are competent they are behind when it comes to tech upgrades on the gaskets.

Default intake gaskets

I just want to tell you been through the same problem with a S10 truck same engine as well as a malibu and a cavilier. Every single time it was the intake gaskets. The mechanics always tell me the same thing it was the type of gaskets chevy was using that cause alot of these problems. And yeah spend the extra money and get the better gaskets new and improved. But definately if you have antifreeze in your oil it's your intake gaskets.

Had the same problem. Definitely an intake gasket.

Since you started a separate thread about the locked engine, anybody wishing to address the engine not rotating please do so in this thread:
