95 blazer problems
i have a 95 s10 blazer, 4dr, v6, and the past couple years its been one problem after another. it has 120,000 miles on it and currently has two issues.
when i am reversing or stopping and sometimes in drive there is a loud clunking noise in the front driver and passenger side near the wheels it sounds like..... anyone have any ideas what this might be?
also i have recently had the fuel pump, rotor, distributor, spark plugs, O2 sensor, ERG valve, and PCR valve replaced. and still things arent quite right. about a month ago i was driving and it stalled at about 35 mph, i pulled over to the side and it was still kinda dieseling, then it wouldnt restart. i took it to the shop and they replace the ingition module. worked great for a couple days till i tried to drive from texas to colorado, about a forth of the way there, my blazer started to have problems again. the check engine light came on so i pulled off into a gas station, then when i got below like 20 mph it started running EXTREMELY rougly, and stalled. I got it started again, but it was still running super rough. I tried to get to a shop but it was the weekend so no one was open. I made it to colorado thankfully, and the engine light has gone off but something is still not right. Anyone have any ideas about what might be going on? and any thoughts when enough is enough and its time to send this blazer in to retirement? lol. thanks

When the vehicle started running rough did you get a "rotten egg" smell? If you did it was probably your EGR valve stuck open by a carbon chunk. Take the valve off open the pintle and shake the valve a peice of carbon will probably fall out. Clean out the passage to the EGR valve on the intake by blowing out the passage with compressed air. Good luck.
