Ok...I have 4.3l 95 v6. Starter went out and I replaced it, also replaced fuel lines in plenum. Noticed we were getting some spark to plugs every now and then. So got New rotor, cap, wires, distributor, coil... Getting spark into distributor from coil but nothing coming out to plugs. Checked ohms on cap, rotor and wires all look good. There is about 12.3 volts going to coil and it drops a little during cranking. The spark looks a little weak off the coil though, so got another new coil and still that same spark. ICM is good due to coil firing... Anyone???

 

Is the dist. turning when you crank the engine? If you've got spark going to the cap and none out, you could have a bad timing set or broken drive gear. Did you get the dist. timed correctly?

 

Rotor turns just fine, timed the truck about five or more times using compression method and straw. When I first put new distribute in I was getting spark at the plugs but getting little backfires inside plenum, figured I timed it wrong which I did. So friend came over and retimed it and ever since no spark coming out distributor. There is spark coming in but a little weak. Thought maybe crankshaft sensor or has to be something I am missing??? Doesn't make sense. I even had a tech from dealership stop by for a few minutes and he couldn't explain it.
