Default 95 s10 blazer leaking gas at port/valve

My 95 is leaking gas from the port/valve wher you would check the pressure at. It looks like a tire valve stem internally and there is no plastic cap on it. I tried to snug it up with a valve stem tool but it seems to have made it a little worse if any change at all. I have just changed the fuel pressure regulator and would like to put the plennum back on but it would be harder to get at if I do. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It is just like a tire valve but with different material to resist gasoline. If it has no cap it probably got some dirt etc, in there that is causing the leak. Take it out and wipe it off & put it back in. If it seals fine. If not you will need a new one. Also get a cap for it.

replace the fuel return lines (nut kit) the valve is part of the whole assembly.it attaches with a torx screw in the back of the intake, that will come with a new one also...around 40 bucks at advance auto..depending where your at

Default 95 s10 blazer excessive fuel trouble?

Thanks for the help. I cleaned out the valve and stem and it stopped leaking but I still have more trouble. I replaced the fuel pressure reg. because of its leaking and having a lot of gas in the oil. Drained the oil and changed filter, letting it drain over night thoroughly and in trying to start it, the motor sputtered once briefly and cranked slower and slower until it just wont turn over almost as if the battery is dead. I put a charger on it and used the start position but made no difference. I also loosened and retightened the battery connections. BTW- mine is identical to yours reelbroke2. Thanks again.

Make sure the engine isn't hydrlocked or something. You'll need a 5/8" socket for the crankshaft bolt and a big ratchet or a breaker bar so you can manually turn the engine.

if his engine is hydrolocked, can he pull the spark plugs to relieve the pressure? and would 1 oil change fix the gas in the oil problem? or would he need multiple changes?
