95s10 died and wont restart
Was driving and it just died and wont restart. Everything turns over like it suppose to. Tried starting while pressing pedal would just backfire. Believe i smell fuel in exhaust. Pump comes on for 2 secs like it is suppose to. Plugs, wires and dist cap replaced less then 6 months ago. Pcm is getting required volts and and coil pack meets all specs.

I would check the for spark and check the fuel pressure.

next plan
Yeah that was my next step as soon as i get the gap and pressure today. I noticed when i had oil changed last week the put at least an 1/2 quart of oil too much. Dont know if that would cause anything. Do you have any idea what the problem is with leaky fuel out of spider in penium. If any one knows would be helpful not understanding that whole area.

It is sort of a common problem for these years. The spider can go bad and leak fuel, fuel pressure regulator can leak, or the "nut kit" which is all inside the plenum. The FPR is on the pass side of the plenum and the nut kit is where the fuel lines go in on the driver side. If you look inside the plenum and see a clean shiny side that will usually tell you what's leaking if it is leaking fuel.

Yeah not leaking fuel there. Taken tht penium off to get to dist. Checked spark on cylinder 1 was looking pretty good. coil packed checked out ok, pcm check out ok both gettin volts, check signal from crank sensor that was ok. havnt had chance yet to check plug wire yet though. I did discover when i removed the dist cap that the plastic piece under dist cap(dont know what that is called) was unscrewed the screws were laying on top the distrubetor and if was kinda floatin around. Does anyone know how to test the distrubetor or is there even a test for that. My father in law keeps sayin timing chain but i really dont think so. Still clueless

FIXED! Dist. rotor screw worked themselves out, then the rotors tabs broke off and then rotor just floated around on top the dist and under the dist cap
