Default 96 blazer 4.3 4x4 fuel system

If anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated. Just replace fuel pressure regulator in my 96 blazer 4.3l last monday because of hard starting and rough idle plus my service light came on and off periodically. Got it put back together and ran great until saturday. I was driving down the road when it lost power and popped a couple of times. I rolled to the light where it wouldn't start again and had it towed home. I just check the fuel pump relay and it is not the problem, but I don't hear the fuel pump kicking on. I haven't pulled apart the fuel meter body to check the regulator yet, I haven't checked the psi yet because I don't have a gauge, kind of broke but if that sounds like the right direction I will purchase one. I am a shade tree mechanic at best and could use the help. Thanks and the site is awesome.

Check at Northern Tool & Equipment (if you have one nearby) for a fuel pressure gauge and then follow the steps in this thread.

Default Great info rriddle3

This is a huge help. Thanks. I'll check Northern out, it's not too far. I tried to borrow/rent one from Autozone but they didn't have one to lend. I think I can handle this and be going down the road again in a short time.
