96 Blazer ABS Questions

96 Blazer ABS Questions
My ABS light is on all the time. I went to 2 auto parts stores to get a scan run and both tried, but said the scanner didn't recognize the EBCM.
I went to a mechanic who said he ran a test and no codes were returned and that meant the EBCM was bad.
Questions:
Does no code mean EBCM is bad?
Can someone tell me what the model of Kelsey Hayes EBCM was used in a 96 Blazer? It says Kelsey Hayes, but I don't see a model number. It doesn't look like a K-H 325.

My ABS light is on all the time too...No codes thrown..Prev owner said the Module is bad as well.
But thanks to this forum , there are several discussions talking about reflowing the solder due to GM's cold solder joints that crack.
When I get time, I'll be yanking the module out and try to reflow the connections.
May be worth a shot..

Went to my local GM dealer. Part is discontinued and no information available.
Service manager was nice enough to run diagnostics and he got the same thing - no diagnostics codes.
One thing that might be a clue is that when he tried to clear the code (even though there wasn't any), he could hear the EBCM make a clicking noise.
Stopped by NAPA. Same thing. Not in their inventory and no information available.

Not sure why , but everything from GM from 95 and 96 has to be so complicated..I know about switching to OBD 2 , but everything else in these years is just plain weird too..My brothers 95 TA was the same way..
I'll keep poking around to see if I can find anything...

Just thought of this...You can try shooting an email to Rockauto to see if they can get one. I had to do that with a hard to find harmonic balancer once for a different vehicle. They found it no problem..
There's also www.lkqonline.com as well who can supply used parts.
