96 blazer front end noise

96 blazer front end noise
i have a 96 blazer that the front end makes a growling noise. i thought it was pass side wheel bearing and replaced it, still no change, replaced drivers side front wheel bearing, no change. the noise will go away once i put it in 4 wheel drive. could it be my front diff assy? has new tie rod ends, lower and upper ball joints, and new tires. please help. thanks, truck has 168 thousand miles
