Default 96 blazer fuel issue

Was driving the blazer and it just quit. Got it to restart but would not stay running so had it towed home. Once I got it home, it would start at all. I could get it running if I put a little gas in the trottle body but would not stay running. I changed the fuel filter which was hard to blow thru so it was partial plugged. The blazer then would start but immediately quit. After talking to several people and the local parts store, everybody said it was the fuel pump, so it was changed today. Now it will start and stay running but it idle rough and if you try to give it any gas it just stalls. I'm at a loss of what to do!!

Can anyone please help?

Thanks

Check fuel pressure and leakdown with a gauge. Depending on what brand fuel pump you installed, that might be the problem. Many of the aftermarket pumps don't meet factory specs right out of the box! This thread will explain how to check it: https://blazerforum.com/forum/2nd-ge...agnosis-45941/ Then post your results.
