Got a 96 blazer with a gas smell. I changed the spider unit today and still have a gas smell. No visible gas on the lines. Not sure where to go next any suggestions.

i also have a gas smell but my check valve on top of the gas tank cracked somehow.. so i would check that.
This is a shot in the dark but i think there is a fuel vapor canister under the rear next to the filler neck.. i would check that as well

My smell seems to be coming from under the hood, when your check valve went was there a strong odor coming from the rear because i don't have the odor in the cab the strongest gas smell is driver front. Also there is no pressure when the blazer is off and I have read this may be the check valve. Is pulling the tank the only way to check the valve?
