Ok so i got the new heater core in and am almost finished but i cant figure out where the metal s shaped brace that bolts to the firewall and goes over the heater box cover actually goes to. I mean I know it bolts to the firewall but thats as much as i can remember here is a link to a pic that shows the rod https://blazerforum.com/m_33134/tm.htmits the pic by moggy. I would greatly appreciate if someone would chime in and show me a pic of where the rod goes or tell me what it bolts to cause there is a welded nut at the bottom so it bolts somewhere. Again i would appreciate some help.

does that brace mount on the firewall-as you have it(obviously one end or the other) and then(if I recall) doesn't the other end swing down and mount to the underside of the dash? If it can swing see if it would-a) swing(one end or the other mounted to the firewall and b) swing and end up in a position to mount to the underside of the dash. JP

I have tried but the end acts like it wants to dig into the heater core box and I know it cant go the other way. If you are very sure on this then I will look it over one more time. I really appreciate the reply.
