Angry '96 Blazer-New Starter-Battery is good-Won't start...

So I just put in a new starter today. I went to start the car and I noticed the battery had no charge, so I jumped it and it started fine. I drove it around for a half hour, and everything looked good. I parked it and turned it off left it for a few minutes then tried to start it again and it worked fine. I did it once more and it didn't start...just a single click...I put a charger on the battery and it said it had 12.4v which I know is kind of the minimum you want, but It should still turn over fine right? I have no idea what is wrong, so any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Was everything fine before you put the starter in, or did you just buy the truck? A family member of mine has a buick that worked fine then one day started having issues. It would cut power out of nowhere and stall, then not start, then start with a jump, then die again. It was really unpredictable. Checked the alternator, battery, all that was fine. Ended up being an ignition issue in the steering column. Changed the ignition switch and that fixed it for the most part, but we also found a wire was pinched in the column that was affecting some of the issues.
Basically what I'm getting at is it may be an issue in the steering column. Try tilting the wheel up and down and and turning it with the key turned to accessory. If all the power stuff suddenly comes on then you got a wiring problem.

Check for a poor connection on the ground cable from the battery, where it attaches to the engine block.
