I came into a good deal on a 99 jimmy, and I was hoping to use my 96 Blazer as a parts truck. The first thing it needs is breaks, the ones on the Blazer are still around 80% will they bolt straight over to the Jimmy?

 

Most parts on all the blazers are interchangeable between 96-05 but there are a few things that are different like the abs unit and the inner door skins are set up different (things I have found out I have a 96 ) the motor is practically the same but the 98 + have more hp ( the spider injector is better CPfI vs MPfI) you can put the mpfi In The 96 and get better performance ( I know your going the other way) I myself swapped the motor from a 04 and I can tell the difference between mine and my friends 96 but he still needs the MPFI conversation. hope this helps
