Yup, it's definitely a quality piece. AC Delco cap & rotor cost more than the distributor! Check Amazon for them.

Thanks. I will definitely buy this and then look for a AC Delco cap and rotor. Cold start up this morning at 4am and no issues with the ties I have on it right now.

So far so good. She has been running way better than I can remember. I will for sure get the distributor from that site. What is the correct cap and rotor I am supposed to go with?

Hope this helps out someone else. Two dealerships and a few other shops looking at this thing and no one found out what the issue was.

Isn't that the truth. I work from 4am - 5 or 6pm so I figured hey I have the money to fix it but not the time. I'll let the pros do it. YEAH RIGHT.
I have more little things to replace/repair on it so I'll probably just keep this thread going but ask for advice on the other things.

Sounds like a plan. Best to start a new thread for a new problem though. It keeps confusion to a minimum, and easier to find with a "search".

Okay. Will do. I might be able to find the information I need in other threads anyway.

So I was gone for two days and the blazer started right up. It would have never done that before. After it started up it did idle up and then down twice within the first minute of run time. I drove it around the block and his hesitated a few times but not like before. I'm going to order that Dist tomorrow.

That's the stuff. If you use the Skip White distributor, check the thread of the screws that they supply. They used to use machine screws, if that's still the case, use those screws.

Everything has been ordered now. Is there a good informative thread about replacing the Dist? I doubt I'll get lucky and drop it right in place the first time.
