they might be for a keyless entry or an stock alarm system. I wouldn't worry about them

Glad the truck is running again.

Thumbs up ignition switch issue SOLVED!!

Hi, my problem is now SOLVED!! Thanks to the guys who helped me. I would advise anyone with the same ignition switch problem to take it apart and give the contacts a cleaning. worth a try and it only takes about an hour. might save yourself some cash. I'm going to run it for a couple weeks and take it apart and make sure its not pitting the contacts again, if it is I'll buy a new one if they look good I'll be happy and I'll put the dash back together. I'll post my findings in a couple weeks. This site is awesome!!!

This is a way old post but I had to chime in and mention the black/green wire is for the mechanism that releases the shifter when the brake is applied.
