I have added 8 qts of fluid so far and no fluid is dripping on the cardboard underneath so far.
It drove around the block just fine, might get brave and take it up to the gas station in a minute.
It just might be fixed
Sprayed the undercariage with degreaser to see if anything else is leaking too.
Cross your fingers that its fixed.

BTW, the magnet is not in the front of the pan and the dimples are on the inside in a square shape.

I'm going with vandalism. Even the odds of running over something to cause a hole like that is hard to believe. Not to mention the bang/thud that would make. That would have been louder than running over an animal. I would expect at least a scrape before the hole instead of a hole at a near perfect vertical. It should have a scrape before the hole indicating that something was lifting and applying pressure before penetrating the pan.

Good find on the $10 pan though.

In the pan when it came off was a chunk of solid rubber, with a hole in it big enough for a bolt, The rubber was soft and just laying in the pan. The trans guy where i bought the pan had insisted that i bring the pan with me to let him look in it to make sure he didnt see anything bad inside of it. He said he had seen it 100 times where people pop a hole in it to drain fluid and then do something stupid to seal the hole.
Its all back together now and no leaks, drove it back and forth in the yard and it seems to drive ok, taking her to town today to get the fluid hot and see if she leaks.
I am guessing it was not the seal.
Poor girl has taken 8 qts of fluid so far just to get a reading on the stick.
