I have a 1997 s-10. I was driving it a couple months ago, and it just died on me. I have had local mechanics look at it, and they dont know whats wrong with it. I put in a new cap, rotor, wires and many other things. It doesn't show any engine codes. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm about ready to sell this thing for scrap metal.

 

one common problem with those are the fuel pressure bleeding off. Have you done a pressure test? What size motor? How was it acting before it died?

 

I'm guessing that you did check the basics: spark and fuel
