97 Chevy Blazer engine problems

97 Chevy Blazer engine problems
Hey this is my first post on blazerforum.com and I joined because I just purchased a Blazer for next to nothing.
Problem: Engine has a ticking sound like a lifter or something at high RPM. I'm assuming from 2800RPM+
Engine does have a bit of a misfire at idle or at a very light throttle. I haven't checked the plugs/wires/cap/etc. yet.
Motor is a 4.3 Vortec, automatic, 163xxx miles. Other than those problems listed the vehicle is great! So far I enjoy the ride of the Blazer.
