OK went to work this morning with my 97 Blazer and a mile from home just died. Started fine but havent driven since Friday. Towed home and I have 60PSI fuel at rail and have spark to plugs. Cranks fine and even sprayed throttle body cleaner in intake and also into hose near air cleaner.
Rained a ton past 48hours but never driven during.
Can I jump the test plug on this to get codes, or do I need a reader?
Well after checking a bunch of sensors and cleaning EGR and other sensors.......I finally found the issue.
The Blazer just quit on me while driving and I got it to start a few times with no power. When it wouldnt start it would not even start with starting fluid. Well the last time I got it running I heard something and looked by the coil and the coil wire going to the distributor cap was arching out and I shut off the engine and pulled wire cover off and seen where it was arching through....well I taped it up till I can get a new set of wires and runs like new. I guess the spark that was going to the plugs was just not hot enough but fixed now!!!

Well to answer your first question, you need a reader to get the codes. Is the check engine light on?
If the MAF sensor is still plugged in, but the duct work is not connected to the top of the throttle body, the engine will not be able to run.
Can you provide some more details about what happened to the truck? Does it run on starter fluid or not? ETC.
Also, please edit your post to provide additional information if another member has yet to reply. Double posting is against forum rules. Thanks!
