I was kinda wondering if anyone could tell me what would cause my blazer to die in the middle of the road at about 45mph. I have already checked the fuel pump and filter. A friend said that he thought it might have something to do with the computer? Anyway any suggestions would be great thanks!

fox23,
I'm not saying that this is your problem, but based on your description, that is exactly what happened to mine. (1993 Full Size Blazer 2-door) My problem turned out to be my ignition module.

There are so many possibilities, fuel, electrical, mechanical.....best to get it scanned for any codes first.

Has it ever died while driving it before???
Does it start right up after it dies???
Does it ever not start, then 10 min later start's up normal?
97's are known for their bad Ignition harness's, anddying while driving is just one of the many symptoms of a bad Ignition harness...

It is also a sign of an over heated fuel pump. Several have had this issue including myself. Does it happen when your tank is 1/4 or less?
