97 won't start--module? relay?
Earlier this week I noticed my engine would crank but would not start if I turned the key too fast. Also I would have no instrument lights.
When I turned the key a little more slowly, I would hear a relay click in the dash as the dash lights would come on and the engine would fire right up.As long as made sure the dash lit up as I turned the key I had no problem with the engine starting and running properly.
After some rain last night, I now haveno dash lights and apparently no spark to the motor. The motor cranks but won't hit. I can hear the relay click as I turn the key but the dash lights no longer come on at the same time as the clicking sound.
The battery is three months old.I have had trouble with the ignition switch not wanting to go to the full off position torelease the key--but that seems to have cleared itself up lately.
Has anyone experienced these symptoms?

Thanks, Swartlkk!
I had a repair shop tackle this since the car was stranded in town and it was stuck in Park since the brake pedal switch was also deactivated. But the guys knew what to do and had it rolling without much fuss.
The switch guts behind the tumbler and about a foot and a half of wiring has been swapped out and it appears to have fixed it.
It is a sweet ride most of the time...and it is paid for!
