98 blazer issue...
I've read here and you guys have helped me out a bunch(this is my first post) but i had the lower intake leak... had antifreeze everywhere... put new gaskets/etc pulled upper as well and installed new gasket, now having issue's with what my father in law says seems timing is off? we got it to start once it ran like crap.. started blowing antifreeze out the tail pipe like crazy.. he said he's at a loss considering the oil is clean as can be(i've changed it twice since friday) i've searched and searched find things that seem like they pertain to it and at the same time dont.. so long short of it, gaskets changed... wont fire over now acts almost as if the battery is dead(which it isnt was on charger all day) any help at all would be appreciated im sure im rambling so any other info anyone would need please lmk!

Is the security light on?
This will cause the engine to act like the battery is dead (kinda), but it will turn once and the fuel gets cut....
If it is this, then its the passlock system....

Well, blowing coolant out the tailpipe is a sign that something has failed again in the engine. The most likely culprit is the LIM (lower intake manifold) gaskets that you just replaced. I know it's going to be a pain, but you may want to tear it back down and have a look see... But before you tear it back down, you may want to try to determine where the coolant is coming from. You can look at the plugs to see which cylinder is getting the brunt of the coolant and then run a compression test to see if the headgasket is still intact. Typical compression on these engines should be around 150psi, but if it is a bit low, don't fret. Check all of the other cylinders for comparison.

yeah, i was afraid of that on the gasket... FIL has a friend he's gonna borrow stuff to do a compression test with.. could it be possible the LIM gasket was cranked a lil too hard down on? BIL helped me at first and told me after the fact.. he went a few lb's heavier on the torque wrench(his thoughts are if its tight its better) and that timing page looks great! i think thats exactly what he was looking for to help get it timed
What gasket set did you use? The newer Felpro (MS98002T) set replaces the problematic plastic reinforcement with metal and it doesn't have the problems that the plastic ones do with torque holding and/or over-torque.
Also, I hope you used a torque wrench on the gaskets. They don't require much torque and over-torque can damage them.

yeah, we had both an inch and ft pound torque wrench, my BIL did the lower's and tells me AFTER the fact that he went a little heavier because it didnt "feel" right, which of course concerned the heck out of me.. the upper and finish re-installing everything i did myself.. the gaskets i used were felpro i dont exactly remember the model number but the guys at local parts store where i get things said these are what i would want
