Hey everybody, I'm new to the forum and just had a question I am hoping to get an answer for. I have a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer, and I believe there is something wrong with the transfer case. I'm 17, and just inherited the truck from my father and I honestly don't know a lot about the mechanics of this vehicle.
This is my problem: my 3 button electric switch panel says that my sub is in 4hi, but it is really only in 2hi. (I got stuck in the snow the other day and noticed the front tires weren't spinning). Also, if I switch it into 2hi or 4lo it will switch, but then when I try to drive the vehicle it will not drive.
I'm not sure if I make any sense, but if anyone has any imout it would be greatly appreciated. If you need more information just say so, and I will try to answer all questions.

Under the battery tray is a difram. Check that first for tears in the rubber and let me know what you find. Thats probably the most common issue.
