I have read tons of stuff, even have factory service and procedures to reset passlock! tried all the diff. learn stuff! happened when i was installing remote start, but isn't connected now! can't get the vcm to reset/ turn the secuity lite off! even left batt disconnected all nite! tried reseting door closed, reach thur window method and the factory method! going to try the resister trick between the yellow and orn/blk wire! don't see how it would work if you can't get the secuity light to reset? Any advice would greatly be appreciated,,,,,,Thanks in advance!!!

 

You may have to do the force learn with a Tech2 (or equivalent) scan tool.

 

First let me tell you how much I appreciate your help!!! Can't get anything out of anyone any more! The dealer tells me thats the ONLY way to relearn, although I believe in some cases it can be done manualy, I'm thinking after studying the service manuals, that the BCM is the unit that learns the code, not the VCM! The TDS (passlock) brain is inside the BCM. Not possitive about that!! Going to get a BCM and see if it will relearn the code manually? Will let you all know! Hate to tow 25 miles, out of my garage to theirs!! THANKS AGAIN!! JUST TRIED A DIFFERENT BCM, STILL THE SAME!! GUESS NEXT STEP WILL BE THE TECH2 FOR A LOOK AND MAYBE JUST A FORCE LEARN??
