98 Blazer - Signal Lights issue...wtf

Working on my 98 Chevy Blazer and having issues with my signal lights. So here's the issue:

Right signals - work fine on front & rear
Left signals - cause signal relay in glove box to "grind" or click very fast.
Hazard lights - don't work at all. no sign from signal relay or dash etc.

Can't figure out where my issue is. Changed signal relay flasher (black box in glove box) and checked all fuses and check OK!

If someone has the answer to this please let me know. Could it have something to do with the trailer wiring? Any ideas short of chasing all the wiring around the truck would be helpful.

You probably have a bulb out. Make sure the rear bulb works correctly. It should light up for tails, brakes, and turn signals. I'm betting your brake light portion is blown. Make sure the turn signal and side marker are working up front, also.

Just FYI, learned this on a '98 S-10. It might be the switch on the steering column that was part of the directional arm/cruise/washer/wiper. Maybe different on Blazer.Just a thought. Had the same phantom issue and the arm replacement fixed it.Good Luck.

Danno, The switch on the column that we replaced to correct the problem WAS on the 2000 Blazer. Found the fix and schematic when I first joined this Forum last year.I'd love to find out if this helps.

If you don't find a burnt out bulb, have a look at the TRAILER LIGHTS WIRING HARNESS. Has anyone messed with the wiring harness for the trailer lately?

These things can drive you nuts with issues that have nothing to do with lights.
There are two white wires in the tail light harness, the smaller one is NOT a ground, it is part of the loop that your cruise control/speed sensor is connected to.
"DON'T MESS WITH THAT ONE"

Good Luck and please follow-up with results or solution.
Thanks in advance,
