Default 98 blazer w/ no ac?!

Ok so ac pump worked, then it worked when it wanted to, and now it doesn't work period. My luck. So i've been trying to figure out what's wrong but I really haven't, obviously. So what I'm looking at doing now is just getting another one from the junkyard which runs about $14-$15 and I need to know if I should just go ahead and do that or if there's a simpler solution to my problem. Btw, it's an automatic climate controlled a/c if that helps any.

Probably does not work now as it has lost enough of the Feron charge so the low pressure switch keeps the compressor from coming on.

A used compressor is not going to help you unless that is where the leak is. Suggest before taking the old compressor off to have the system checked out by a service quy....pulls a vacuum on the system and checks for leaks. Could be just a bad O ring at one of the fittings.

Good luck

Well I've checked the pressure a few times and even recharged it once and was fine. Idk what the problem is. So I thought a new pump would help.
