98 bravada random starting issue/ticking
Alright so its been a bad day for the bravada. Let my gf drive it somewhere and she calls me saying the steering and breaks locked up. Well anyways i get there and when i go to start the engine it cranks and doesnt start i also notice there is no cluster lights and no readings, fuel gauge, temp, oil pressure, cel, etc. Only the batt light shows. So that tells me its not going to start. So 30 min later waiting and fustrated the cluster comes on and it makes the normal beeping sound and i turn it over and it started right up. I drive it home and shut it off and sure enough it does the same thing... i also found that maybe part of this could be my key ign.. because it will start without a key and u can take the key out while driving! This is not right!? Did the past owner rig it? Anyways later after several trys turning it in on position the cluster works and it starts everytime like normal. But then it make a HUGE ticking noise when first started it and the check engine light
was on. But when it warmed up i couldnt hear the ticking noise anymore. Im just trying to figure out if the staring issue and the ticking noise are related? Bc it seems like when one thing went bad and went away something else would throw a flag. Any advice on what may be happening would be
Great! Also as of right now the blazer is acting completely normal! Starts right up and no loud ticking.
great!! Also as of right now

Come on all these views and nobody knows anything? The starting issue wont go away now. Always does it during the day also took it to autozone when it went wrong and they couldnt read anything that could be stopping it from starting. So i got the typical "take it to the mechanic bs"
