Ok i have a 98 gmc jimmy, it throw the p0785 code which is a solinoid in the trans i have replaced the 3,2 shift solinoid, and it stills acts up ( the check engine light comes as soon as u start the truck and after u drive it a few blocks the truck stays in third gear and doesnt shift,) so people said it could be a bad pcm, i took the pcm out and had it cleared and reflashed, put it back in and 5 mins later the light came back on and problem still there, if i leave the obdii scanner on it while im driving i can keep erasing the code and the trans is fine but the light comes on within seconds, need help asap any ideas of what i can try i dont wanna keep guessing and spendin more money thanks in advance o and its only throwin that one code p0785

what's the mileage on the truck (transmission)? have you pulled the valve body to look for any foreign matter (blockages)?

 

its 144k and my buddy did the solinoid and said everything in there looked real good i think its def and electrical problem but i have no clue and im fed up already lol

 

i was gonna say something about it possibly being an electrical problem, but didn't want to through gas on the fire this early on.

 

yea im just tryin to see if other people had this problems ive searched online and seen different things but i dont wanna keep guessing and wasting money
