98 transmission problems
I recently bought a 1998 blazer, the owner said the transmission was bad(it wouldn't go into any gear). Before I chunked down a bunch of money I decided to change the filter. It ran fine for about a week. I was going down the road and it locked up. Tires sqealing the whole nine yards. I can still drive it in first and second gear. But when I put it in drive it looses all power, it's kinda like your slamming on the brakes. Im pretty sure I need a new transmission now, I just want to make sure it's not something else causing it first. Like the torque converter or something else. Any help would be appreciated.
I have a 98 4x4 blazer. Its acting up on the trany when it worms up. Now my bigges concern is the chek eng. Light is not on an the diagnostic computer wont even come on when I plug it to the obd2 port. Can anyone pls. Pointme at the rigth direction. Thanks
