'99 Blazer ABS light is back.
#12
Still having issues with this, about 2-3 times a week. I took it in again and they were able to pull the codes. They didnt write down the code #s, but said it had codes for "LF speed sensor", "Rear speed sensor" and "stop switch short to ground". ABS works when the light is off, but not when the ABS light comes on. If I shut it off and restart, the ABS light usually does not come back until about 5-10 minutes later.
They said those codes were not enough for them to know where to start. They want to see it with the ABS light on.

That's the problem, whenever the light comes on is in the evening when everything is closed. I drive by an Autozone on my way home, but the light has never been on when I drive by. Their free scan would be able to check the ABS codes, right?

Only if the scan tool is ABS capable. Typically the auto parts stores scan tools are powertrain only, (no ABS, no BCM, no airbag, no IPC, no HVAC, etc). The ABS DTC's remain in the history file until they are manually cleared or the problem doesn't exist anymore. I can just about gaurantee their scan tools can not access the history files.
