Default 99 Blazer A/C hose and compressor connection

Wondering if anyone has a good picture of the connection between the a/c hose and the compressor, particularly on the drivers side. I recently swapped out a compressor and thought this area looked a little strange when I installed the replacement it seemed tight but it appears to sit higher than I was expecting. After filling the refrigerant I can tell its definitely leaking from that area. I am not sure if its a case of a bad washer ( I did replace them) or if i just didn't get the thing to quite sit properly.

Here are a few schematics from CompNine.com: Schematic 1 & Schematic 2

There really isn't any way to screw it up provided you purchased the proper parts...

thank you. I can see the dye around the area the washer thats labeled 4 on the 2nd schematic. That particular washer was a bit of a pain to get on there so maybe I managed to alter its shape a bit.

If you see dye, you definitely have a leak. The seals should not go on difficult.

Is it possible that the metal expanded causing the difficulty in putting the seal on or is it more likely the new seal was just a tiny bit too small? Both the old seals came off easily and the other new seal went on with no problems.

It's likely that the seal you installed was not the correct size.
