99 blazer radiator plug

Default 99 blazer radiator plug

hey guys i have learned alot on here thatnks for all the help...my question is i have located the drain plug on my blazer but it will not budge...i want to drain all the dex cool out and start over...How can i get this plug out?

It is a quarter turn plug. You have to use a 1/4" square drive (1/4" extension works great) to turn it. Turning it past a quarter turn will result in the whole thing coming out of the radiator and fluid all over the place.

If you need more room, you can pull the inner fender.

Hmmm! Is the 97 a similar set up? Everytime I flush my system I have a bear of a time with the petcock,but have yet to break one,nor had any need to turn past about a 1/4 turn anyway,so I guess I'm doing it gently enough with rubber padded channel-locks,but if there is a 1/4" square in there:I'd like to know! Thanks!
