Question 99 Blazer Vibration Issue..... Harmonic Balancer ???

I just bought a 99 Blazer last week that has a vibration issue. The truck is in very good shape and has been maintained well.

First thing I did was had a brand new set of tires put on it. I just had new shocks installed today as well.

I also had (2) different mechanics check out the U-joints, suspension and steering components. All check out fine.

I'm wondering now if the vibration "may" be related to the harmonic balancer.

How does one verify if the harmonic balancer needs to be replaced ??

Does the vibration depend on engine RPM or ground speed? If it depends on ground speed and is independent of engine RPM, then the problem is in the drivetrain, not the engine.

With the vehicle in park, rev the engine up slowly. If no vibration then you'll know it's not the dampener.

Just another way of saying what has already been said.
