So I was driving and the damn thing died on me. I went to start it back up and it didn't. since my gas guage doesn't work i figured i had somehow ran out of gas, so i put some gas in it... that didn't help. put gas into the throttle body and it would run until that gas burnt up... I had to tow it back to the house and I changed the fuel filter and that didn't work. i can hear the fuel pump coming on also... any ideas as to what to do? I kind of need my car...

 

Sounds like a fuel pump. You need I believe 60 PSI for it to run correct. Need to check fuel pressure at the fuel rail.

 

I checked the fuel pump relay today and its good... how would i check the fuel pressure?

Im having the same problem and about to get a fuel pressure tester. My blazer has a hard time starting after it has been sitting for a like 20 min or sometimes just has a hard time starting. When I pump the gas and continuously crank it manages to turn on. And stays on.

When testing the Fuel Pressure I do not have a scan tool will i still be able to do the test?
