abs light

So my 00 blazers abs light went on 3 days ago. At first it would just stay on for the first 3 miles or so. Now it always stays on. Occasionally when braking slow the abs engages and the brake pedal feels weird. By weird I mean it almost seems to go down all the way. I guess I'm trying to say the abs comes on. It has 131k miles. I have changed the front brakes and hubs before. I also installed new discs and brakes in the back about 3 months ago. Anyways I would like to know what I should be looking for in order to fix the problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance...

I can't help you but I am interested in the answers as I have exactly the same problem. I've now pulled the fuse on the ABS for the time being as I nearly rammed someone when it happened in a traffic queue.

I had the same problem on my 01 blazer. I had abs modlue rebuilt by modulemaster.com. It fixed my problem. The KH 325 modlues are known to fail.

could also be your hub sensor itself...they get dirty and corroded at base connection on hub...they can be cleaned and put back on...could also have a bad hub...the exciter ring could be giving you false reading....and the abs module could be bad.

i would check sensors first..easiest and cheapest fix...or have a brake shop do free inspection and have them tell you what is wrong....that one is my favorite.

Here's a TSB that tells how to diagnose and repair it: http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/PE...533_blazer.pdf

Brakes - Low Speed (below 5 MPH) ABS Activation

Whoops, Captain beat me to it.
